People are indeed looking for a meaning in their lives, have been distracted into looking in the worst places for it, and are investigating spirituality. I agree with the author that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. Some people appear to be moving away from the rituals and expectations of others, thinking for themselves, to conclude that their real home is with Spirit, with God, that/who is everywhere they might happen to be. Also, the author believes that people are already "home" and will know and experience this when they listen to their individual GPS to find what is true for them. Szymczak encourages the reader to accept, feel, live and love this fact. To me, the book was inviting, made good sense, was supported by appropriate research and was supported by the author's own life experiences as an educator and psychotherapist.Product details

The Roadmap Home Your GPS to Inner Peace edition by Leonard Szymczak SelfHelp eBooks Reviews
It's "road map". I'm tired of self-published, low quality manuscripts being marketed to the public. I do not agree with the other reviewers at all. This book was terribly disappointing to me. The author needs an editor and proofreader.
Leonard Szymczak's book has beautifully described the path back home to our inner, spiritual greatness. With the heart of a mystic and the practical words of a therapist, he has clarified the the steps to spiritual alignment and progessive personal growth. Leonard's personal experiences as a child touch the heart and lead to understanding of the importance of finding our way home. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to enhance personal happiness, increase spiritual security, and find success in life.
This book is a positive guide for self-understanding. It puts the spiritual mind in charge and then the rest falls into place.
not sure what he's saying
I so related to the author's story, it brought up feelings I thought I had resolved through several years of analysis. This was a good thing and will help me to move ahead more constructively in my life. Your story reminded me of mine on many levels.
Although only on the first chapter I am getting more out of this book than any of the many other self help guides I have used in my 64 years. I feel a real connection to you and your story, much success with your book.
Kindest Regards,
Sharon B
Wow! This book is a must read, but not just once, but over and over. The author has put together a masterpiece on spirituality, lifestyle and personal happiness! If there were 10 stars, this would deserve 11!
I found this book by coincidence....if there really is such a thing -) It marries beautifully psychology and the spiritual. My undergrad was in psychology but my personal predilection is spiritual. Obviously, I had to have the book and it does NOT disappoint. It's rare to find a psychologist that can take "healing" to the highest levels and I feel that's where ultimate healing must go. My only regret is that I did not find this book and Dr. Szymczak sooner as his practice is close by. Unfortunately, I move across country soon. But I still have the book!! Thank you, Dr.
